Commissioner Fasae Visits Bamidele Olumilua University, Explores Collaboration Opportunities

The Honorable Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Otunba Kayode Fasae, met with Professor Adefemi Adeoluwa, Vice Chancellor of Bamidele Olumilua University of Science and Technology, Ikere, to discuss potential collaboration opportunities between the Ministry and the university.

During the meeting, the Honorable Commissioner outlined various initiatives introduced by the Ministry, including the Labour Market Information System (LMIS), Employment Trust Fund (ETF), Data Collation, WEMA Bank MSME Training, Agency Banking, and Electric Tricycle (EV) initiatives. These programs aim to promote employment creation, digital training, and research and development in the state.

Professor Adeoluwa expressed enthusiasm for the programs, highlighting the university’s focus on digital training, particularly in entrepreneurial skills. The Vice Chancellor emphasized the potential for collaboration between the Ministry and the university in areas such as digital training, employment creation, and research and development.

The meeting marked a significant step towards fostering collaboration between the Ministry and the university to address unemployment and promote economic development in the state. The Ministry’s programs align with the state government’s initiatives and have the backing of the State Governor.
