The Ekiti State Government has embarked on a large-scale recruitment process in the health sector, aiming to enhance service delivery and address the shortage of medical personnel in government hospitals. Governor Biodun Oyebanji has approved the recruitment of a significant number of health workers, including doctors, graduate nurses, nurse/midwives, and community health officers.
The recruitment drive is part of the state government’s efforts to make quality healthcare accessible, available, and affordable for its citizens. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health and Human Services, Mrs. Olusola Gbenga-Igotun, announced that the available vacancies have been advertised on the Ministry’s website, and interested candidates can apply through the portal, which will be open for two weeks from March 28, 2025.
The recruitment opportunities include:
– Doctors: Vacancies available at the State’s Hospitals’ Management Board
– Graduate Nurses: Positions open at the State’s Hospitals’ Management Board
– Nurse/Midwife: Vacancies available at both the State’s Hospitals’ Management Board and the State Primary Health Care Development Agency
– Community Health Officers: Positions open at the State Primary Health Care Development Agency
