Ekiti United FC has unveiled its new jersey for the upcoming NLO season, marking a significant milestone as the team gears up for competition. The unveiling ceremony took place at the office of Dr. Mrs. Olusola Osetoba, the state’s governor’s representative, and was attended by key stakeholders, including team management, coaches and players.
The new jerseys, which include home and away kits as well as training kits, were showcased to the public for the first time. Dr. Mrs. Osetoba expressed the state government’s commitment to supporting sports development in Ekiti State, pledging support for Ekiti United FC and the growth of football in the state.
“We are proud to support Ekiti United FC, and we believe that this team has the potential to make us proud,” Dr. Mrs. Osetoba said. “We charge the players to be good ambassadors of the state and to work towards winning the promotion tickets to the Nigeria National League.”
Ekiti United FC has registered 27 players for the new season, selected after a rigorous screening process. The team’s coach, Salawu Rotimi, expressed confidence in the players’ abilities to deliver the division two tickets for the state.
“We have carefully selected these players based on their skills and abilities, and we believe that they have what it takes to make us proud,” Coach Rotimi said. Captain Adewale Makanjuola leads the squad, which includes goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and attackers.
With the unveiling of the new jersey and player registration, Ekiti United FC is set to make a strong impression in the upcoming NLO season. The team’s performance will be closely watched, given their previous match results, such as a draw against Abia Comets in the National League.
