Ekiti State Signage Agency Cracks Down on Unauthorized Poster Pasting

The Ekiti State Signage and Advertisement Agency (EKSAA) has reiterated its ban on unauthorized poster pasting on public and private structures, warning violators of severe sanctions. This move aims to maintain a well-organized outdoor environment and prevent defacement of public spaces, in line with the State Structure for Signage and Advertisement Agency Law 2007.

EKSAA’s management has made it clear that pasting or displaying posters on buildings, walls, highways, or outdoor surfaces without prior approval will attract penalties. This directive applies to all individuals and entities, including political parties, churches, schools, printers, advertisers, marketers and producers.

The agency’s primary goal is to regulate outdoor signage and advertisement, generating revenue while maintaining the state’s aesthetic appeal. With its administration and finance departments, EKSAA is well-equipped to enforce regulations and manage outdoor advertising effectively.

Stakeholders and the general public are urged to adhere strictly to these directives.
