The Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State, CP Joseph Eribo, has cautioned officers of the command against indiscipline and unprofessional behavior, emphasizing that such acts would not be tolerated under his watch. The CP made the call during his familiarization tour of Area Commands in the state, affirming the command’s commitment to effective policing.
CP Eribo sought the cooperation of community stakeholders, stressing that vital information from the public is crucial in curbing crime and criminality in the state. He noted that Ekiti’s peace is a result of collective efforts and urged stakeholders to support security agencies to ensure they carry out their duties without bias.
The Assistant Superintendent of Police Ado Area Command, Shittu Bolanle, described the visit as a morale booster for officers, while stakeholders from various communities, including the Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa communities, and a Non-Governmental Organization, Global Support for Kids Initiative, pledged their support to the force in combating crime, especially crimes concerning children.
