The Federation of Ekiti State Students’ Union (FESSU) has announced a peaceful protest scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the EKSUTH College of Nursing Science gate in Ado-Ekiti.
The protest is in response to the unjust expulsion of Comrade Seluwa Oluwaseun Vincent, who spoke out against the exorbitant hostel fee hike. FESSU is demanding the immediate reinstatement of the expelled student, reversal of the fee policy, and an end to the suppression of students’ voices.
The union has called on all Ekiti students, allies, and advocates of justice to join the protest, emphasizing that an injury to one is an injury to all. The protest is set to begin at 9:00 AM, and FESSU is urging everyone to rise in defense of their rights and dignity.
