A High Court in Ado Ekiti has issued an order restraining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from proceeding with its Local Government and State Congresses in Ekiti State.
The court granted the injunction following a motion filed by Hon. Afolabi Adedeji, who sought to halt the congresses over alleged irregularities. Justice E.B. Omotoso ordered all parties to maintain the status quo pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice, scheduled for May 14, 2025.
The court also directed that the PDP’s national and state leaders be served the court order via WhatsApp. The case has been adjourned to May 14 for further hearing.
