The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed an eight-member committee to review the party’s constitution, with Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni as chairman. Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, representing Ekiti Central, is among the high-profile members of the committee.

The committee’s task is to revisit the party’s constitution, last amended in 2022, and address unresolved provisions that have sparked internal concerns.

Led by Governor Buni, who has previously chaired the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, the committee is expected to submit recommendations that will strengthen internal democracy and enhance the party’s operational framework.

With prominent members including Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State and Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State, the committee is well-equipped to drive meaningful reforms.

The APC is hoping that this review will prepare the party for future elections and improve its overall structure.
