Ekiti Youths Shine as Cohort 3 Graduands Celebrate Skills Acquisition Program

The Ekiti State Government, under the leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, has celebrated the graduation of Cohort 3 students from Handy Innovations Vocational Institute. The Office of the Special Assistant on Youth Development, Amb. Olu-Ajayi Maxwell, in collaboration with the institute’s founder, Mrs. Rotarian Adeola Adesola Olafikun, successfully held the graduation ceremony, marking the end of a three-month intensive vocational training program.

The graduands, who were trained in various skills such as Fashion Design, Hairstyling, Catering, Shoe Making, Makeup artistry, and ICT, expressed profound gratitude for the life-changing opportunity. The atmosphere was filled with celebration, pride, and hope for the future as the students showcased their newfound skills.

Mrs. Olafikun congratulated the graduates, emphasizing that they had not only acquired skills but also the confidence to innovate and create value in their communities. Amb. Maxwell appreciated the CEO for providing the opportunity for young people in the state to learn, noting that Governor Oyebanji’s administration is committed to youth development and empowerment.

The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including the Chairman of the Nigeria Youth Congress, Ekiti State Chapter, Mr. Adedara Temitope Moses. The graduands extended their sincere appreciation to the Handy Innovation Foundation, Governor Oyebanji, and all stakeholders for their unwavering support and investment in their future. With 150 youths successfully trained in three cohorts, plans are already underway for Cohort 4, further solidifying the program’s impact on youth empowerment in Ekiti State.
