The Ekiti State Commissioner of Health and Human Services, Dr. Oyebanji Filani, has paid a visit to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Ikole-Ekiti, where he commended the hospital’s management team for the progress made since his last visit.

According to Dr. Filani, the hospital’s Chief Medical Director highlighted the positive developments in staff personnel, facility utilization, and service delivery, expressing gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Abiodun Oyebanji for their unwavering support.

Dr. Filani praised the FMC as a fulfilled promise of Governor Oyebanji and encouraged the public to take advantage of the free cesarean section initiative, a policy introduced by the President.

During his visit, Dr. Filani also extended support to a teenage girl who had undergone two surgeries and 90 days of care at the children’s ward, and directed that another patient’s wife’s cesarean section be covered under the free initiative, emphasizing that no one should be denied such support.
