Ekiti State Governor, H.E. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has officially launched the “Ikun Milk Day” at the Ikun Dairy Farm in Ikun-Ekiti. This initiative, part of Promasidor Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, aims to provide pasteurized milk to primary school pupils in Ikun on a weekly basis. The launch highlights the state government’s commitment to improving citizens’ health and well-being, particularly the younger generation.
The Ikun Dairy Farm, a public-private partnership between Ekiti State Government and Promasidor, has seen significant investments, including the procurement of 250 new cows from Texas to boost milk production. This partnership is expected to enhance local milk production, reduce reliance on imported dairy products, and create jobs.
