The Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, has issued a warning to all students to desist from patronizing private cybercafés within the campus premises.
The university’s Office of the Registrar has emphasized that the institution has invested significantly in providing robust and reliable ICT facilities for academic and administrative transactions, and students are urged to utilize these facilities for all their transactions.
The EKSU ICT Centre is well-equipped with up-to-date technology, secure networks, and dedicated support staff to ensure a seamless and safe experience for all students. Students are advised to use the university’s ICT facilities for course registration, result checking, fee payment, and other academic transactions.
The university has cautioned that any student who chooses to patronize external cybercafés within the university campus does so at their own risk, and the institution will not be held responsible for any loss, privacy breaches, fraudulent activities, or other issues that may arise from using unapproved external facilities.
Students are therefore strongly advised to prioritize their safety and security by utilizing the university’s approved ICT facilities.
