The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has expressed appreciation for the National Orientation Agency’s (NOA) efforts in promoting human rights awareness in Ekiti State.

During a courtesy visit by NOA’s Ekiti State Director, Mrs. Oluwakemi Akomolede, NHRC’s Ekiti State Coordinator, Mr. Sodehinde, commended the agency’s advocacy work, emphasizing its importance in fostering a culture of accountability and justice.

The NHRC has been actively addressing cases of human rights violations, including sexual abuse and drug-related crimes, but faces challenges due to limited resources. The coordinator welcomed the potential for collaboration with NOA to enhance their outreach and impact in promoting human rights in the state.
