Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has expressed deep grief over the passing of Professor Caleb Igbalajobi, Chairman of the Ekiti State Education Trust Fund, who died on June 8, 2025. The late scholar, a native of Efon Alaaye and a professor of Special Education, was remembered for his outstanding contributions to academia and his commitment to advancing education in Ekiti State and beyond.

Governor Oyebanji described Professor Igbalajobi as a deeply patriotic Nigerian, a man of integrity, and a staunch advocate of the Ekiti development agenda. He praised the late professor’s dedication to education and his invaluable guidance, noting that he will be remembered for his leadership of the state’s Education Trust Fund.

The governor extended his condolences to the family of the deceased, encouraging them to take solace in his legacy of service and honorable reputation. He also offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Professor Igbalajobi’s soul, describing him as an eminent Ekiti leader and distinguished academic.
