Hillside University of Science and Technology (HUST), Okemesi, played host to Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, on June 10, 2025. The visit marked a significant milestone in the university’s growing collaboration with leading medical institutions.

The CMD was warmly received by the Registrar, Dr. Mercy Lyons, who shared the university’s history and journey towards academic excellence. During the visit, Dr. Lyons took Professor Otegbayo on a tour of the university, showcasing its modern facilities. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Iheanyichukwu Okoro, expressed gratitude for the CMD’s visit and support, despite being away on another assignment.

Professor Otegbayo admired the university’s commitment to fostering a conducive academic environment and commended the institution for developing state-of-the-art medical training facilities. He assured the university of his intention to visit the Ibadan Campus, where 200-level medical students are undergoing pre-clinical training.

The visit symbolizes the strengthening of ties between HUST and UCH, paving the way for future collaboration and partnership in medical education. With the support of esteemed medical professionals like Professor Otegbayo, Hillside University continues to move towards realizing its vision of excellence in academic and professional training.
