NASET ENDORSES OYEBANJI FOR RE-ELECTION, PRAISES EKSG’S INCLUSION POLICY

The Nigeria Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET) has endorsed Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, for re-election in 2026, citing his administration’s effective policies and huge investment in special education. The endorsement came after the association’s 36th National Conference in Ado Ekiti, where participants from all 36 states of the federation commended the governor’s commitment to disability inclusion.

NASET National President, Dr. Catherine Atteng, praised Governor Oyebanji for his passion for special education, noting that the state-of-the-art structures and gadgets in special schools across the state are a testament to his dedication. Dr. Atteng, who described the governor as a champion of disability inclusion, said NASET has conferred on him the honor of a fellow of the association.

Participants at the conference, including representatives from Cross River and Rivers states, expressed their excitement about the developments in Ekiti State and commended Governor Oyebanji’s efforts in promoting special education and disability inclusion. They urged that the governor be allowed to continue his good work by being re-elected in 2026.

The association’s endorsement is a significant boost to Governor Oyebanji’s re-election bid, as it highlights his commitment to the welfare of persons with disabilities and his efforts to create a more inclusive society.
