In a significant ceremony held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, the Owa of Ayebode-Ekiti, HRM Olusola Emmanuel Omolayo, received the Staff of Office from Ekiti State Governor, His Excellency Biodun Oyebanji. The governor was represented by Deputy Governor Chief Mrs Christiana Monisade Afuye during the event.
The appointment of HRM Olusola Emmanuel Omolayo as the Owa of Ayebode-Ekiti was approved by the Ekiti State Executive Council at its virtual meeting on July 2, 2025. This approval followed the recommendation of the council and adherence to the provisions of the Chiefs Law Cap C5 Law of Ekiti State (2012). Prince Omolayo Olusola Emmanuel succeeds the late Oba Augustine Tayo Famoroti from the Famoroti Ruling House, who passed away on September 24, 2022.
