Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has categorically denied rumours circulating on social media about his wife’s health, describing them as false and misleading.
Speaking at the July edition of Evening of Praise and Worship in Ado-Ekiti, the governor clarified that his wife, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, a senior lecturer at the University of Ibadan, was simply on academic leave and has since resumed her duties.
He expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Ekiti State chapter, for a sermon that encouraged him not to be swayed by negative comments and rumours.
The governor urged citizens to remain steadfast in their faith and trust in God’s plan for the state, and his message was well received by attendees who expressed renewed confidence in his administration’s commitment to peace, progress, and development.
