The Federal University Oye-Ekiti has received a disbursement of N476,747,500 from the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFund) to cover sundry fees for 5,412 students.
The funds comprise N408,883,500 for 4,735 students sanctioned for the 2024/2025 NELFund cycle and N67,864,000 for 677 students, representing the balance of the 2023/2024 backlog beneficiaries.
The university’s Acting Vice-Chancellor has congratulated the students whose educational journeys are now fully supported and urged indigent and eligible students to seize the opportunity of the NELFund program.
The university has begun verifying over 1,000 applications from prospective students, many of whom will soon benefit from the initiative.
