County Executive David Crowley has declared a state of emergency following over 10 inches of rainfall and widespread flooding across the County, with more rain expected today. An Emergency Operations Center has been established to coordinate response efforts throughout tonight and into the remainder of this weather emergency.

• Avoid walking in floodwater — it may be contaminated or hide dangerous debris.
• Do not drive on flooded streets.
• Check on neighbors and loved ones, especially older adults.
• Limit water use to reduce the risk of sewer backups.
