The community of Ake Igbanke, Edo State, is in deep mourning after the heartbreaking death of Mr. Confidence Kelubia Oligie, a hardworking young man known for his dedication and bright future.

Abducted alongside two workers on 31 July 2025, kidnappers demanded and received a ransom of ₦10 million but still killed Mr. Oligie and one worker, while another worker escaped. After days of intense search efforts, Mr. Oligie’s body was recovered on 9 August 2025, leaving family, friends, and the entire community devastated.

His untimely death highlights the growing insecurity affecting communities nationwide, prompting calls for justice and better security measures as many mourn a life cut far too short.
