The Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria (FRIN) team, led by Dr Tayo Oyelowo, carried out a key inspection mission in Odoowa, Ijero LGA, Ekiti State as part of plans to establish a new FRIN research outstation.
The visit aimed to assess the site’s readiness for smooth operations and optimal research conditions, promising job creation, capacity building, and community involvement.
During the visit, the FRIN team met with Ekiti State Forestry Commission’s Executive Secretary, Mr Adekunle S.D, and the Olowa of Odoowa to discuss land allocation, reflecting strong collaboration in advancing forestry research and development in the state.
