BEDC to Upgrade Power Infrastructure in Ekiti and Other States with Temporary Blackouts Expected

The Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) has commenced vital maintenance and upgrade projects across its franchise states, with a particular focus on Ekiti alongside Delta, Edo, and Ondo.

These critical works aim to strengthen electricity distribution by boosting load capacity and reducing downtime, thereby improving power supply reliability in the region.

Residents of Ekiti and neighbouring states should anticipate occasional power shutdowns during the upgrade process to ensure the safety and success of the works.

Acting Managing Director, Engr. Jonathan Lawani, has appealed to customers to remain patient throughout these temporary interruptions and to ensure timely payment of bills, which are essential for sustaining such infrastructure improvements.
