Igede Ekiti is gearing up for ÀKÈ DAY 2025, the annual cultural celebration running from 26th October to 1st November, formerly known as Igede Day.

The festival honours the town’s founder, Àkè, and his wife Erindo, who bore sixteen children including Elemi, Osun, Ogbese, and the first Onigede, Okunsusi, marking the deep roots of the community.

This year’s theme, “Rediscovering our true identity through a journey into our history,” invites everyone to reflect on their origins and shared values.

The event promises a heartfelt connection to the land and people, celebrating the rich heritage that shapes Igede Ekiti’s identity.
