Pastor Arrested for Repeatedly Raping Daughter Cites “Generational Curse” in Shocking Confession

Samson Ajayi, a 42-year-old pastor from Igoba in Ondo State, has been arraigned before the Akure Magistrates’ Court for allegedly raping his 17-year-old daughter over a four-year period.

The abuse came to light when Ajayi’s wife discovered the assault and reported it to police, leading to his arrest at a prayer mountain.

During his court appearance, Ajayi confessed to the crimes, shockingly attributing them to a “generational curse” after revealing that his own father had abused his sister.

The pastor, a father of five, faces two counts of rape and defilement under the state’s Violence Against Persons Prohibition Law.

Despite his lawyer’s request for an out-of-court settlement citing family forgiveness, the court ordered Ajayi’s remand at Olokuta Correctional Facility pending further legal advice.

The case will be reviewed again on 20 November 2025.
