SENATOR YEMI ADARAMODU LAUNCHES SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR PIONEER STUDENTS AT FCE ILAWE-EKITI

History was made at the maiden matriculation ceremony of the Federal College of Education, Ilawe-Ekiti, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, as Senator Yemi Adaramodu, representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, unveiled a landmark scholarship scheme for pioneer students of the institution.

The scholarship beneficiaries, drawn from across the six local government areas of Ekiti South, are widely regarded as a testament to Senator Adaramodu’s commitment to educational advancement, youth empowerment, and the future of his senatorial district and beyond.

The announcement, made at such a historic moment for the newly established institution, was greeted with thunderous applause and heartfelt appreciation from students, parents, the management of the college, and the academic community at large.

A beneficiary of the scholarship, Miss Boboye Olamide Mary from Emure Local Government, said: “This is a dream come true for me and my family. Senator Adaramodu has lifted a huge burden off our shoulders. I promise to study hard and make him and my parents proud.”

Another student, Mr. Alabi Ayomide Samuel from Ekiti East Local Government, added: “At a time when many young people are struggling to afford education, this scholarship gives us hope and encouragement to keep pursuing our dreams.”

Parents were equally emotional in their reactions. Mr. Boboye, a father of one of the beneficiaries, noted: “We can sleep better now, knowing that our children’s education is secure. Senator Adaramodu has not only relieved us of financial pressure but has also given our children a brighter future.”

In his remarks, Senator Adaramodu reaffirmed his long-standing belief that education remains the strongest pillar of sustainable development. “What we are doing here today is not just about paying fees,” the Senator said. “It is about investing in the future of Ekiti South.
