Ekiti Indigenes on Ring-Road Project Guaranteed Continued Employment, Says Craneburg Construction

Craneburg Construction Company Limited has reassured that Ekiti State indigenes working on the ongoing Ekiti State ring-road project will keep their jobs and be redeployed to other company projects once this contract concludes. During a visit to the firm’s Lagos headquarters by Ekiti State Bureau of Local Content Director-General, Mr Olalekan Ijidale, Craneburg’s Head of Procurement, Mr Fouad G. Boulos, confirmed their commitment to retaining and reassigning the local workforce.

Mr Ijidale praised the company for adhering to the state’s local content policy, which prioritises hiring indigenes and has significantly supported the state’s economy by preventing capital flight and boosting employment.

He emphasised that Ekiti is unique in Nigeria for institutionalising such a policy, ensuring taxpayers benefit directly from state-funded projects. Mr Boulos reinforced Craneburg’s promise to notify the bureau of fresh vacancies for Ekiti indigenes and affirmed their dedication to upholding local content guidelines.

Both parties agreed to maintain regular communication to monitor compliance and facilitate seamless redeployment of workers, underlining the state government’s commitment to protecting local jobs and sustaining economic growth.
