The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Governorship Aspirant in Ekiti State, Prof. Olumuyiwa Babalola, has declared that his party remains unperturbed by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)’s consensus arrangements, insisting that the ADC is fully prepared to win the forthcoming governorship election through people-driven politics and superior ideas.
In a statement made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti, Prof. Babalola described the APC’s consensus approach as “an internal political strategy that holds no bearing on the growing strength and popularity of the ADC across Ekiti communities.”
“We are not bothered by any consensus arrangement within the APC. Our concern and focus are on the people of Ekiti — their welfare, their development, and their hope for a better tomorrow,” Babalola said.
ADC Not Distracted by APC’s Consensus — Prof. Babalola:
‘We’re Focused on Victory for Ekiti People’
The ADC aspirant emphasized that the party is building a strong grassroots structure anchored on credibility, inclusiveness, and equity, adding that the people of Ekiti are yearning for a fresh, credible alternative to the current political order.
The people are wiser now. They have tested various administrations and understand that true leadership is about service, not self-interest. The ADC offers a genuine platform for transformation built on transparency, youth empowerment, and integrity,” he stated.
Prof. Babalola maintained that the ADC is not distracted by the activities of other political parties but remains resolute in its mission to restore integrity and purposeful leadership to governance in Ekiti State.
Babalola: ADC’s Strength Lies in the People, Not Political Consensus
The ADC stalwart further noted that the growing support for ADC across all 16 local government areas of the state demonstrates that Ekiti people are ready for change that goes beyond political slogans.
He urged party members and supporters to remain focused and united, assuring them that the ADC will present a formidable front during the forthcoming polls.
We are not in the race to make up the numbers; we are in the race to win. Our strength lies in the people’s trust, not political manipulation,” he added.
Babalola reaffirmed that the ADC’s rising profile across the state is a reflection of citizens’ trust in the party’s message of justice, fairness, and development-oriented governance.
APC’s Consensus Can’t Stop ADC’s Rising Tide in Ekiti — Prof. Olumuyiwa Babalola
Reiterating his confidence ahead of the election, Prof. Babalola said that the ultimate decision rests with the people of Ekiti, not with backroom political negotiations.
“Every party has the right to pursue its internal arrangements, but at the end of the day, it is the Ekiti people who will decide their future. From all indications, they are ready to embrace a new dawn under the African Democratic Congress,” he concluded.
