The stage is set for what promises to be a thrilling grand finale at the 3rd Edition of the Agbeyewa Cup, as two outstanding teams — Aramoko District Commercial Secondary School (ADICO) and Igogo Commercial High School — have booked their spots in the much-anticipated final match scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
ADICO proved their resilience and composure under pressure after a tough contest against Efon High School at the Igede Centre. The game ended in a tense penalty shootout, with ADICO triumphing 5–3 to seal their passage to the finals.
At the Ado Centre, despite a heavy downpour that drenched the field and tested the determination of both teams, Igogo Commercial High School and Eporo High School battled fiercely for a place in the final. In the end, Igogo Commercial High School edged past their opponents 4–2 on penalties, demonstrating grit, focus, and teamwork in challenging conditions.
With both teams now through to the final, attention now shifts to the Olukismet Stadium, Ikere-Ekiti, where the grand finale will be played. First to be played is the 3rd-place playoff between Efon High School and Eporo High School which will kick off at 2:00 p.m., followed by the final clash between ADICO and Igogo Commercial High School at 4:00 p.m.
Football enthusiasts, community leaders, and dignitaries from across Ekiti State are expected to grace the event, which has grown into one of the most exciting youth sports tournaments in Ekiti State.
As the Agbeyewa Cup 2025 reaches its climax, anticipation is at an all-time high. Will ADICO lift the coveted trophy, or will Igogo Commercial High School claim the glory? The answer will unfold under the bright lights of the Olukismet Stadium — where passion, pride, and promise will take centre stage once again.
