The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned a 35-year-old man, Taliatu Bashiru, before the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over the alleged stealing of a goat.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendant, on October 16 at about 2 am, at Olorunsogo Zone 12, Ado-Ekiti Magisterial District, stole and killed a goat owned by Ojo Moses, valued at N300,000.
Counsel to the defendant, Barrister A. T. Oguntusase, urged the court to grant his client bail, which Chief Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun, granted in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned until November 11, for hearing.
