A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Abimbola Olajumoke, has declared that Governor Biodun Oyebanji will not win the 2026 governorship election in the state, alleging that the party is attempting to impose him on the people.
In a viral video, Olajumoke, who was disqualified from the APC primary, vowed to challenge the process in court, describing it as unfair and manipulated.
She said, “We are taking them to court already, and we will ensure whatever it takes to make sure that they don’t win that election. BAO cannot even win the election in APC. If he is paying the party to win the delegate election, paying people N10,000 or N5,000 Naira to contest within the party, just for affirmation
“How is he hoping to win the general election? And we are telling the president that this guy cannot win the election for APC in 2026. “This election will be Ekiti people versus BAO. If APC insists on imposing him on Ekiti people, he cannot return our government. He has not done well,” she said.
Also speaking in the same video, Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, accused the APC of unjustly disqualifying Olajumoke and another aspirant, Kayode Ojo, after collecting their nomination fees.
“This is our sister that was disqualified by APC. After collecting her money, N10 million, they disqualified her. Now they are doing kangaroo. We are following her to court because her matter is in court.
“And we believe that their kangaroo in APC will not work. They disqualified our sister and Kayode Ojo,” Fayose said.
