Suspected thugs attacked the African Democratic Congress (ADC) primary election coalition centre in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, yesterday.
The thugs, allegedly supporters of a losing aspirant, overpowered security agents and gained access to the centre through windows, causing panic among INEC officials, journalists, and party executives.
The suspected hoodlums destroyed furniture and some documents during the process.
Speaking on the development, a former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Professor Olusola Eleka who is one of the aspirants alleged that the primary election results in some local governments were doctored, calling for the cancellation of the entire process.
Chairman of Ekiti ADC primaries election Committee Senator Ahmed Kaita had earlier advised aggrieved aspirants to forward their petitions to the partyβs tribunal committee for necessary action.
