The Ekiti State Police Command has arraigned one Adekunle Ajeigbe and Desmond Omolayo (28) at the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over an alleged stealing offence.

The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendant and others at large, on October 26 at about 3 pm in Ado-Ekiti, conspired to steal one TVS lady motorcycle and one iPhone 11 handset valued at N2,900,000, belonging to one Temitope Ayomide.

Inspector Oriyomi said on the same date, time, and place, the defendant stole one iPhone 14 PRO handset valued at N780,000, the property of Olaniyan Pelumi.

The prosecutor pointed out that the offence committed is punishable under Sections 421 and 302 (1)(a) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.

Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Timi Omotoso, urged the court to grant his client bail.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Abayomi Adeosun, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The case was adjourned until January 13, 2026, for hearing.
