Police Nab Three for Malicious Damage and Breach of Peace in Ekiti

The police in Ekiti State have arraigned three persons, Chinedu Omeh (49), Samuel Eze (18), and Victor Dim (21), at the Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over alleged malicious damage and assault.

The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants and others at large, on November 10, 2025, at about 8:15 am in Ado-Ekiti, conspired to damage a property valued at N800,000, belonging to one Lawal Ayodele.

Inspector Oriyomi said the defendants and the others also assaulted one Segun Adebayo and conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace.
Counsel to the defendants, Barrister Chris Omokhafe, urged the court to grant the defendants bail.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Abayomi Adeosun, granted each of them bail in the sum of N150,000 with one surety in like sum.

The case was adjourned until January 20, 2026, for hearing.
