Residents of Obisesan and Awedele community in Ado Ekiti have expressed their distress over the ongoing thefts in the area.
Reports indicate that thieves have been breaking into homes in the community, stealing Money, POS machines, expensive phones, and other personal belongings of the residents.
A recent incident involved a clergyman and several business owners who were reportedly robbed of their possessions.
The thieves have however been attacking residents with weapons, instilling fear among those living in the community.
One victim, who chose to remain anonymous, recounted, “I was robbed of my money and phones as the thieves came armed to attack us in the middle of the night.”
Another troubling incident occurred behind a Redeem Church at Awedele area, where a resident was assaulted with sharp objects during the attack.
These frequent assaults have created a climate of fear in the community, leaving residents anxious about their safety.
As the festive season approaches, the concerned residents are urgently seeking assistance to address the ongoing threat of robbery in their area.
