In a major step forward for Nigeria’s security workforce, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the shortlisting of high-performing candidates for the physical screening and document verification stage of its 2025 recruitment drive.
The board, which oversees recruitment for the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), alongside correctional, fire, and immigration services, emphasised that selections were made strictly on merit, in full compliance with the Federal Character principle and the operational needs of each service.
Shortlisted applicants are urged to log on to the official portal at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng between Monday, 1 December, and Wednesday, 3 December 2025, to choose their preferred screening venue and date.
The board stressed that all official updates will come exclusively through this platform, advising candidates to ignore any emails or messages from other sources to avoid potential scams.
The nationwide screening exercise is scheduled to run from Monday, 8 December, to Friday, 12 December 2025, across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
With thousands of applicants vying for limited spots, this phase promises to be rigorous, testing physical fitness and verifying credentials to ensure only the best join the ranks.
