Terrorists launched a deadly ambush on traders travelling to the popular Ebu Market Day in Kogi State on Tuesday, December 2.

The attackers struck along the Koro-Egbe route, intercepting vehicles carrying traders on their routine weekly journey to the border community market.

The exact number of those kidnapped remains unknown, but the attack has further heightened fear among residents in Kwara-Kogi border communities.

This latest incident is the latest in a string of attacks on the corridor, which has increasingly become a hotbed of criminal activity despite repeated alerts to authorities.
