US Surveillance Fighter Jet Spotted Over Kwara, Ekiti as American Officials Arrive in Abuja

A US surveillance fighter jet has been spotted flying in Nigerian airspace as American officials arrive in Abuja, fuelling speculation about a deepening security partnership between Nigeria and the United States.

According to reports, the US reconnaissance flights were conducted over parts of western Nigeria, originating from a US military facility in Ghana.

The unusual military activity has raised questions about the scope of the growing security cooperation between the two countries. Senior US officials arrived in Abuja on Wednesday night, sparking rumours about imminent announcements on bilateral security arrangements.

While the Nigerian government has yet to issue an official statement, defence experts believe the US may be increasing its involvement in Nigeria’s fight against extremist groups.
