The Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission (EKSIEC) has announced that local government and local council development areas elections will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2026.
In the guidelines signed by the EKSIEC Chairman, Justice Cornelius Akintayo (Rtd), and made available to newsmen, registered political parties are required to collect Form EKSIEC 001 for their candidates from the commissionโs headquarters.
The commission has outlined the election schedule, including deadlines for candidate submissions, campaign periods, and voting dates.
All registered political parties are expected to adhere to the guidelines and timelines set by EKSIEC.
