Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has distributed N155 million as compensation to property owners whose lands were acquired for the Ikere-Akure dualisation project. Represented by Deputy Governor, Monisade Christianah Afuye, Oyebanji assured citizens that his administration prioritizes projects that add value and boost economic activities.
The governor emphasized that the road project will strengthen socio-economic ties between Ekiti and Ondo States, enhance transportation, reduce travel time, and ensure safety and convenience for commuters.
He thanked property owners for their understanding and sacrifice, urging them to use the funds wisely. The project is part of the state’s broader development policy to open up communities and drive progress.
