Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to initiatives that cater to the needs of local communities across the state.
The Governor made this declaration while hosting leaders of Okemesi Ekiti, led by former Attorney General, Barr. Olawale Fapounda (SAN), who came to express gratitude for various infrastructure development projects in their community. Oyebanji emphasized that grassroots development is a cornerstone of his administration and assured that no community will be left behind in the state’s developmental agenda.
He expressed appreciation for the community’s recognition of his government’s efforts and promised that more projects are underway, including the construction of the Okemesi to Ido Ile road, electricity reconnection, and rehabilitation of a water tank. The Governor stated that his administration will continue to meet the needs and aspirations of the people, as that is why they were elected.
The community leaders, led by Fapounda, highlighted several projects, including the construction of the Okemesi to Itawure road, renovation of Okemesi General Hospital, and electrification project, as part of the dividends of democracy under the current administration. They described these interventions as unprecedented and assured the Governor of continued support beyond 2026.
