The palace of the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe, Aladesanmi III, was abuzz with cultural festivities on Thursday as Chief Busayo Joshua Faleye was officially installed as the new Baradagba of Ado-Ekiti.

The installation, which comes 55 years after the demise of the previous chief, Chief Sajowa, drew enthusiastic members of the Baradagba Dynasty from far and wide. Traditional authorities performed various rites, and the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, represented by the Chief Omosio and the Ologbosere, prayed for the chief’s long life and the dynasty’s prosperity.

In a congratulatory message, Mr. Temitope Adu, the eldest child of late Mrs. Rachael Ereola Adu, praised the family for their collective effort and called for continued unity in future endeavors.

The Iwuye celebration is scheduled for June 18, 2025, promising to be a grand affair with more family members expected to attend.
