Today, Friday, May 30th, 2025, marks a significant milestone in the life of Chief Jide Borode as he gracefully exits the Ekiti State Civil Service after an illustrious 35-year career.

A distinguished figure in the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Chief Borode’s remarkable journey is a testament to his unflinching devotion and leadership. Rising through the ranks from an entry-level position to becoming General Manager of the Water Corporation and the Waste Management Board, he left an indelible mark on every institution he served.

Notably, under Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration, Chief Borode played a key role in revitalizing the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) within the Office of the Deputy Governor. His “Ifakian” leadership style, marked by professionalism, unity, and collaboration, has inspired countless individuals.
