Ajoni LCDA Forges Partnership with US-Based Organization for Health and Wellness Initiative

The Ajoni Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has taken a significant step towards enhancing the well-being of its people by partnering with Counselling in the Street, an arm of Interweave Solutions International (ISI) USA. The partnership was forged during a strategic meeting between the LCDA Chairman, Amb. Prince Michael Ogungbemi, and representatives of the organization led by Professor Sherry Curtis.

The collaboration aims to address the physical, mental, and emotional health needs of the grassroots populace through mutually beneficial programs. The LCDA Chairman emphasized that good health is foundational to economic productivity and community prosperity, while Professor Curtis highlighted the organization’s focus on reaching underserved communities with psychosocial support, life skills training, and holistic health education.

Both parties have agreed to conduct preliminary needs assessments and mapping exercises in selected communities, with the goal of launching tailored health and wellness programs, including mental health awareness, youth mentorship, and community-based wellness outreach. This partnership aligns with the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, people-centered development, and fostering international partnerships for local transformation.
