The Ekiti State Police Command has ordered an investigation into the killing of a middle-aged man, identified as Ojo Deji, in Ado-Ekiti over the weekend.
According to reports, Deji was stabbed to death in the Atikankan area following an argument that ensued when a philanthropist gave money to some hoodlums in the area. The argument reportedly turned violent, resulting in Deji’s death.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abutu Sunday, disclosed that two suspects have been arrested, and efforts are underway to apprehend others involved.
The Commissioner of Police, Joseph Eribo, has assured the public that justice will be delivered and urged calm, as the command works to prevent further breakdown of law and order in the area.
