The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State is set to embark on a Statewide Women Engagement Tour, aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation, fostering party unity, and deepening women’s participation in the democratic process ahead of the 2026 general elections.

The tour, which will be led by the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Her Excellency Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Afuye, is an initiative of the First Lady of Ekiti State, Dr. (Mrs.) Olayemi Oyebanji. The Deputy Governor will interface directly with women across the 16 Local Government Areas of the state to reinforce Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to inclusive governance, women empowerment, and political cohesion.

The tour is scheduled to take place from July 7 to July 11, with different local government areas, and different times. The schedule for the tour is as follows: Day 1 (Monday, July 7) – Ekiti East, Gbonyin, Emure, and Ise/Orun; Day 2 (Tuesday, July 8) – Ikere, Ilawe, Irepodun/Ifelodun (Igede); Day 3 (Wednesday, July 9) – Ikole, Oye, Ilejemeje, and Moba; Day 4 (Thursday, July 10) – Ido/Osi, Ijero, and Efon; Day 5 (Friday, July 11) – Ekiti West and Ado-Ekiti.

The APC women’s engagement tour is expected to galvanize support for the party and promote women’s participation in politics.
