The Chairman of Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Hon. Bayo Omojola, has announced that all necessary arrangements have been completed to repair the Ikole-Temidire Axis to FMC Ikole link road, pending the contractor’s commencement of work.
The chairman’s assurance follows a publication by Comrade Oluwafemi Lekan in a national newspaper highlighting the road’s deplorable condition and alleged neglect by the state government.
Other indigenes of the local government area have also expressed concern over the poor state of Ikole township roads, noting that the area has never experienced such neglect in previous years.
