EKSU Soars Under Prof. J. B. Ayodele’s Leadership in First Year as VC

In just one year at the helm, Prof. J. B. Ayodele has propelled Ekiti State University (EKSU) to new heights. Under his visionary leadership from August 2024 to August 2025, EKSU was ranked the number one State University by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and twelfth among all Nigerian universities.

Throughout this period, the university maintained an uninterrupted academic calendar, ensured prompt salary payments, and fostered industrial harmony with staff unions.

All academic programmes received full accreditation, while new ones, like Mechatronics, were introduced. EKSU also secured selection by the NADDC for the construction of a CNG Plant, showcasing a commitment to innovation and development.

These achievements reflect Prof. Ayodele’s dedication, signalling a bright future for EKSU and setting a high standard for excellence in Nigerian higher education.
