Man Arrested for Killing Daughter’s Boyfriend Over Affair in Ekiti

A man from Kogi State’s Ebira ethnic group has been arrested by the Ekiti State Police for allegedly killing his daughter’s boyfriend after the young man visited the girl’s home near the Corpers’ lodge on New Iyin Road, Ado Ekiti.

Witnesses said the father, unhappy with their relationship, enlisted the help of his siblings to attack the boy, who later died in hospital due to severe bleeding from his injuries.

Police spokesman SP Sunday Abutu confirmed the arrest of the man and one accomplice, who have been arraigned before an Ado Ekiti Magistrate’s Court and remanded in custody.
