Ekiti State Launches Youth Fishery Training Pilot Scheme to Boost Agriculture and Job Creation

Tomorrow, Ekiti State Government, through its Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, will kick off a new training programme for youths interested in fishery production, starting as a pilot before expanding further.

Building on the success of the Ekiti State Broilers Production Scheme, which empowered youths and generated wealth, this fishery scheme aims to create more jobs and opportunities through collaboration and partnerships.

Unlike some states where project launches are purely ceremonial, Ekiti’s government insists on unveiling initiatives right at the project sites, giving people direct proof of their impact.

Following this approach, the fishery training launch will take place at the Government Fish Farm in Isinla, Ado-Ekiti, reinforcing the state’s commitment to grounding projects in reality, making them tangible and monitored to benefit communities.

So before dismissing government initiatives as mere talk, Ekiti is showing that its projects are built to grow and deliver real results on the ground.
